The signing ceremony for the agreement on building three LNG vessels in support of Sinopec’s shipping capacity under the Venture Global LNG Agreement was held in Dalian on 31 August. Mr. Xiao Weijie, Deputy General Manager of Sinopec Kantons, and Mr. Pang Aibin, Deputy General Manager of Sinopec Kantons, attended the event. Mr. Xiao signed the agreement on behalf of the Company.
This is the first cooperation among Sinopec Kantons, COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation, and Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, which will be responsible for the construction of three 175,000 m3 LNG vessels. This cooperation is not only of great significance to further ensuring China’s energy security, but also marks the sustainable growth of Sinopec Kantons’ core business and a solid step in its high-quality development.
